HURVÍNEK´S BEST FRIEND MÁNIČKA
Mánička made her theatre debut in 1930 and has undergone the most significant development among the theatre’s characters. Designed by Josef Skupa (with additional artistic input from Jiří Trnka and carved by Gustav Nosek), her current appearance was shaped by Zdeněk Juřena. Helena Štáchová led a major transformation of Mánička, as she redefined the character to be a confident, modern and inquisitive girl. Like the other principal characters, Mánička is traditionally manipulated by her own interpreter on the forestage, currently performed by Jana Mudráková.
