Gustav Nosek carved her using the design of Prof. Skupa and artistic help from Jiří Trnka. She first performed on April 19, 1930 at the premiere of “Hurvínek’s Spring Revue” (later renamed “Shotgun Revue”). The first woman to play the role was Anna Kreuzmannová, followed by Božena Weleková in 1945 and subsequently Helena Štáchová in 1967. After several variations, the puppet most used was the design by Zdeněk Juřena.
