Responses to the tours…

Le Soleil (Canada)
Captivation at first sight. This ancient art, full of esprit, jealously guards
its illusion and preserves its irresistibly young heart.

West Berlin (GDR)
This theatre is as varied as the world, as colourful as a circus, as thrilling
and entertaining as a film and as charming as it is possible to be.

Bergische Landeszeitung (GDR)
Prague’s puppet theatre S+H Theatre has a long tradition, it waltzes
onto the stage with perfect grace and the right amount of gallows
humour.

Wolfsburger Allgemeine (GDR)
We have been missing Prague’s puppet theatre and its characters
Spejbl and Hurvínek for too long. They are crafted from the finest
wood. Two hours of enchantment, laughter and affection.

Manchester Guardian (Great Britain)
These masterfully manipulated puppets are so life-like that one forgets
that they are just wood and starts to see them as real actors.

Stockholm Tidningen (Sweden)
The Swedish tour of the Prague puppet Spejbl and Hurvínek theatre
opened to indescribable success. Every show in the outdoor stage
received applause.

Der Rundblick Wien (Austria)
Oh, what lamentation that the plays from the Prague marionette theatre
Spejbl and Hurvínek have come to an end. After every number on the
programme, a storm of appreciation erupted. What great art.

Al-Jumhuriyah (SAR)
The Czechoslovakian puppet theatre S+H still has a few more days.
Unfortunately, that will not be enough for everyone in Cairo to enjoy
some glorious moments with them.

The Indian Express – Bombay (India)
…one is completely fascinated by their sense of rhythm and motion
and the perfection and appeal of their comic exaggeration and tricks.
No theatre-goer should miss this.
